Site Engineer for Core Drilling, Field Change Design

TVO is having the OL3 Nuclear Power Plant built by Areva and Siemens consortium and several of their subcontractors. We are now looking for the following professional to work for our client company Areva NP based in OL3 site:

SITE ENGINEER FOR CORE DRILLING, FIELD CHANGE DESIGN

To perform engineering duties in structural planning, designing, coordination, checking and approval of technical documentation on OL3 Construction site.

The main duties include:

• Scope Core Drilling Openings (CDO) Field Change Requests (FCR)
• Preparation of documents / reports related to scope
• Check and review of documents related to scope
• Calculation and design of standard and non standard post installed anchorages
• Preparation of design Statements
• Contact person to Back office and Design subcontractors for the specific scope
• Contact person for Quality department related to the scope
• Site and work shop inspections related to scope
• Follow up of open points related to the scope

To succeed in this position, You need to hold a Master or Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering as well as at least 2 years of work experience on similar duties. Additionally, You should possess strong skills in technical design and coordination activities and have at least a basic knowledge on (reinforcement and formwork drawings), SofiCAD and Static Software (Trimas, RSTAB, STAAD.Pro). Besides this, you should also be fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Capacity to work autonomously and as a part of a multinational site and team is also beneficial as are skills of prioritising.
