Building Technology Commissioning Engineer
TVO is having the OL3 Nuclear Power Plant built by Areva and Siemens consortium and several of their subcontractors. We are now looking for the following professional to work for our client company Areva NP based in OL3 site:
Building Technology Commissioning Engineer
to act as a responsible person for all Electrical Systems and I&C construction work up to completion of the Commissioning of the building technology packages (telephone, public address, CCTV, Intercom, FAS, L&SP, clock, physical protecion) and report to the Electrical Commissioning Manager on OL3 construction site.
The main duties include providing the Commissioning Supervisors all neccessary information to enable them to perform their duties efficiently and in line with the program and project requirements, coordinating subcontractors activities in order to maximise efficiency in working practises and to ensure that programs and contractual obligations are followed, and establish and maintain working relationships within the company and cooperations, subcontractors and other contractors on site. Besides this, the duties will also include providing engineering or construction advice when problems related to Commissioning work arise, liaising with management and Site Planning to obtain information on deliveries and to ensure that Commissioning records and procedures are maintained and updated regularly. Weekly safety inspections within the scope of work and ensuring that all safety requirements are followed is also part of the duties.
To succeed in this position, you need to be educated as Engineer or DI as well as have at least 5 to 8 years of work experience on similar duties ie. Commissioning of Power Plants. Besides this, you should also demonstrate good knowledge and experience in Building Technology and low voltage electrical power systems as well as in performance of operation tasks and of safety requirements of working in electrical operations areas (SFS 6002). Fluency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory as is the ability to work responsibly on own initiative and to give exact instruction to others. Finnish, German and French are beneficial but not mandatory. You should also have strong experience on MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). The ability to work under pressure and as a part of an international work environment is highly appreciated.
