Direct Search

A direct search is applicable when it is not advisable to use an advertised search. Reasons for this might be:

  • The recruiting company does not want to advertise the open position in public
  • Very few suitable people exist
  • The right people are not activated by advertised advertisements
  • The reputation or image of the recruiting company is not at the level where a advertised search would attract the right people

Service Description

A direct search assignment always begins with the consultant assigned to the case getting acquainted with the client’s business and organization through interviews. In addition to a consultant working on the case, Proselectum’s research department also helps in finding the right people. After analyzing the business, organization, and open position, the applicable companies and fields are chosen in cooperation with the client to find suitable candidates.

Research produces an analysis of the target field or industry and presents it to the client. Based on the analysis, the consultant contacts applicable people and informs them of the position. People who are interested in the position will be met in person and assessed to determine if they are suitable.

The potential candidates are then presented to the client on a so called short list. A consultant will attend the 2nd round discussions between the candidate and the client if needed.

As the process moves forward and after the decision has been made, Proselectum informs all who have participated in the process about the stages of the process.

Timetable

From the start of the direct search process to the signing of a work contract, it takes approximately 8 – 12 weeks. In addition, the person’s term of notice must also be taken into account.
